Schneider Electric’s new Smart Buildings division offers pathways to decarbonization, continuous building improvement

July 15, 2024 – In a move to deliver solutions and services “that support building owners and operators in achieving their decarbonization and sustainability goals”, Schneider Electric Canada is rejigging its Digital Buildings business to launch the Smart Buildings division.

“Through our Smart Buildings division in Canada, we’re set to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and occupant comfort,” said Emily Heitman, president, Schneider Electric Canada. “Our goal is to empower building owners and operators to create smarter, more efficient spaces for a sustainable future.”

The Smart division will offer tools, guidance, and expertise for improving building efficiency and helping owners achieve sustainability objectives across the following pillars:

• Optimize energy consumption to achieve significant cost savings and reduce environmental impact.

• Create environments where lighting, HVAC, security systems, etc., work together to optimize comfort and efficiency.

• Leverage predictive analytics and remote monitoring to ensure proactive maintenance, minimize downtime, and extend the life of building systems.

• Prioritize occupant comfort with personalized settings, indoor air quality monitoring, and interfaces that enhance overall experience.

• Provide data analytics for decision-making and continuous building performance improvement.
